Pole Position

Pole Position is an electronic project based between Barcelona and Ibiza, formed by Loïc Le Joliff and Jaime Alguersuari. Loïc has been deeply involved in the electronic music world for many years and has played a central role in the development of large-scale events and festivals. His background is rooted in event creation and long-term project building within electronic music. Jaime, formerly a Formula 1 driver with Red Bull Racing, has built a parallel career in music under the name Squire. His transition into electronic music is shaped by a disciplined approach to production and DJing, with strong attention to structure, timing, and sound. Together, they created Pole Position as a space to explore a musical direction centered mainly around house and melodic sounds, while remaining open and versatile across tempos and styles. Their approach is not confined to a single lane, allowing their sets and productions to adapt to different contexts and moments. In parallel, they run Ànims, a Barcelona-based label that serves as the home for most of Pole Position’s music and a platform for both emerging and established artists. The label has released records from rising artists such as Darlow, Samer Soltan, Guychu, Auggië, Gespona, Aladag, HeandMe, and Ivan Massa, alongside releases and remixes from established names including Deep Dish, Hernan Cattaneo, Musumeci, Tim Engelhardt, Meera, Emanuel Satie, and Maga. Pole Position’s live sets reflect this ecosystem, built around flow, progression, and a coherent musical narrative.
